King of Scots, 1058-1093. He killed MacBeth in battle in 1057 and regained the throne for his family. He did not succeed to the kingship until Macbeth's stepson king Lulach was killed in 1058. He was crowned at Scone and ascended the throne on March 17, 1057/58. Under him, the provinces gaind by Thorfinn fell again under native rule. He was slain at Alnwick. He was killed in battle by the Normans in England in 1093.
