Their children were Elizabeth (12 yrs), Emma (11 yrs, who was subsequently to marry James Ogden), Mary (8 yrs) and Margaret (2 yrs).
They had 3 farm workers: John Taylor 53 - ag labourer, Thomas Norman 37 - carter, John Briggs 15 - milk boy.
In 1881 described as a farmer of 30 acres.
In 1901 he was living with his daughter Elizabeth, who had married Thomas Partington, and her children Edith (27), James (25) and Emma (22)
