the enemy. Died some 3 weeks later: 7 July (night)
Somme leading a bombing party at La Boisselle.
Statement from his Commanding Officer to his
parents:
“Your son had established a reputation for the most
intrepid bravery and daring, beloved by both Officers
& men’’.
