Remarks:
From 1382 to 1413 he was in commissions. In March 1385/6 he was granted the custody of the castle of Mere for life. From 1401 he was Knight of the shire for Somerset and for Wilts; and in 1413 he was chosen to be Speaker of the House of Commons, but was unable to act owing to infirmity.
