Teacher Profile

  • Adele is a native Russian teacher with an MA in European Languages and Teaching Methodology from Moscow State Linguistic University.
  •  She has over 17 years teaching experience with a wide range of levels including as a lecturer at the Moscow State Linguistic University, at the Institute of Pushkin in Athens, at the University of Westminster, at the Foreign Office in London and as a private teacher of Russian.
  • She is the co-author of the book ’Reading Russian Newspapers’ (published by the Moscow University Press, 2001) which was created as part of her research in Language Teaching methodology.
  • Latterly as well as giving private Russian lessons, Adele has taught Russian to diplomats at the Foreign Office who are preparing for their posts to the British Embassies in Russia and other States of the former Soviet Union.

 

Teaching methods:

 

Teaching at all levels is based on the development of speaking, listening, reading and writing skills with the necessary elements of Russian Grammar. Authentic Russian media (radio, video, Internet and newspapers) is effectively used and adjusted to all levels of students. My aim is to make you speak and communicate in Russian as quickly as possible, feel confident about it and enjoy it.

 

1. One to one Russian Course is designed to suit your individual interests and needs:

  • General
  • Business
  • Specialised (politics, finance, banking, law, diplomacy, etc.)
  • GCSE in Russian
  • A Level in Russian

 

2. Intensive Russian Courses are run on all levels starting from complete beginner.

 

3. Corporate Russian Courses are offered to companies in London taking into consideration all professional requirements.

 

4. Russian Media Course –a unique course, which is meant for students of an intermediate or advanced level who would like to master their skills in reading Russian newspapers, Internet and listening to the Russian radio for professional and academic reasons. After the course you will be able to conduct interviews in Russian, and make presentations on the chosen topics.

 

Rates start at 30 pounds per hour, 50 pounds for a 2-hour lesson.

 

Location: In London area, at your home or office.
